As Jupiter was the Great Benific in traditional astrology then Saturn was known as the Great Maelific, a planet with the energy of contraction. Saturn is the last of the inner, personal, planets that can be seen with naked eye.

The first of the ‘outer’ planets, Uranus is the planet of individuation and rapid, transformational change.
Neptune
Neptune is deeply mystical and connects us to intuition and psychic abilities.
Pluto
Pluto divides the astronomical community as to whether it is large enough to actually be classed as a planet. However, in Evolutionary Astrology it is a fundamental element as it represents the transformation of the deepest parts of the unconscious.
